MONICA SARAVIA's furniture is entirely handmade by expert Colombian artisans, paying special attention to every detail and always using the finest materials to transform each piece into a work of art. To ensure the products remain in good condition, they must be carefully cared for.

Use and maintenance of wooden furniture

-It is vitally important NOT to sit on the arms or headboards, these are structurally made as part of the aesthetics of the furniture and do not support weight.

-Make sure to always place furniture on level floors

-Avoid constant, direct sunlight; excessive sunlight can crack and stain the wood. If the product will be exposed to constant sunlight, we recommend installing UV protection films on the windows.

-Do not place wet or hot containers directly on the surface. We recommend using tablecloths and coasters to prevent moisture from glasses or plates from staining the wood.

-Avoid abruptly dropping blunt objects on the wood surfaces, as these can crack and chip the wood.

Cleaning instructions

-To remove dust, clean wooden surfaces with a damp cloth in the direction of the wood grain. Always wipe with a soft, dry cloth to dry excess moisture.

Avoid using furniture polish, harsh chemicals, or abrasive cleaners. These can alter the texture of the wood and cause stains, such as polishes containing silicone, alcohol, oils, detergents, liquid soap, etc. Avoid splashing with chemicals such as thinner, Varsol, nail polish remover, nail polish remover, perfumes, liquors, and coffee.

-Dry spills immediately with a clean cloth.

-Protect surfaces from heat and moisture by using coasters, pads, or cloths under hot glasses or dishes.

-Use a protective pad when writing with a pen. Keep it away from direct sunlight.

-When moving furniture, always be sure to lift it rather than drag it. For indoor use only.

Recommendations for cleaning fabric upholstery products

-Avoid constant, direct sunlight; excessive sunlight can discolor fabrics. If the product will be exposed to constant sunlight, we recommend installing UV protection film on the windows. Please note that fabric exposed to environmental factors such as light, water, and humidity will alter the product's initial color.

Avoid placing your furniture in humid areas; this can cause mold, color loss, and deterioration. Alcohol, solvents, and gasoline can cause deterioration of the upholstery's color and quality. Interaction with animals, hardware, or sharp objects can cause tearing and deterioration of the fabric.

Cleaning instructions

-Turn cushions and shake or vacuum frequently to remove dust and prevent general dirt, as dust is the main cause of wear and tear on upholstered products.

-To avoid fading, keep the fabric away from direct sunlight.

-Dry up spills immediately.

-Each of our fabrics has specific care instructions that we recommend consulting, however, we always recommend professional upholstery cleaning.

Use and maintenance of outdoor furniture

-Monthly maintenance with soap and water is recommended to prevent stains from adhering further to the fabric and make them easier to clean.

-When performing any type of cleaning procedure on outdoor fabrics, the following points should be kept in mind: Use mild detergents. Use cold or slightly warm water. Scrub repeatedly to remove soap residue. Allow to air dry. Do not apply heat to the fabric to speed drying.

-Cleaning instructions
Brush off any dirt. Dampen the surface to be cleaned. Prepare a well-diluted solution of water and mild soap. Apply the solution with a soft brush and scrub. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to allow the fabric to absorb the soap. Rinse repeatedly until all detergent residue is removed. Allow to air dry.

The request for change or return must be made by the user through the email contacto@monicasaravia.com Whenever the request for change or return is submitted for reasons not attributable to MONICA SARAVIA, the credit that will be granted for the respective change or return will amount to the net value of the product and/or service, not including the value of transportation, which is assumed by the user, who must also assume the transportation charges generated as a result of the collection of the product and/or service, as well as the new shipment.

WOODEN FURNITURE

Monica Saravia – Projects and Interior Design – guarantees that its wooden furniture from its SARAVIA COLLECTION line is free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. Wooden furniture is made from naturally varying raw materials. Differences in grain character and color among wood species are of natural origin and variations are not within the control of manufacturing defects nor considered under this warranty. Natural color changes, exposure to extreme temperature changes and direct sunlight can cause color changes and/or surface damage and are not covered by this warranty.

UPHOLSTERY

At Monica Saravia – Projects and Interior Design – we pay attention to every detail involved in the manufacturing of our upholstered products under our SARAVIA COLLECTION line.

CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM

Our furniture construction is guaranteed to be free from defects for the life of the product under normal residential use and care. This warranty is valid only to the original owner, provided the furniture is upholstered in its original fabric.

FABRICS

At Monica Saravia – Projects and Interior Design, we offer a limited warranty on all our fabrics. Fabrics are guaranteed for a period of one year against defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty does not cover wear, fading, shrinkage, or stretching, which can occur with normal use of most fabrics. Chemical treatments, heavy soiling, or improper cleaning are not covered.

FILLINGS

We believe that comfort and longevity come from proper cushioning, which is why all of our foams and filling materials are carefully selected. We guarantee that our fillings will not collapse for the life of the original upholstered product under normal residential care and use. It should be noted that all foams and filling materials soften and conform to the user's shape; this is considered normal and is not a defect.

SEAMS

All of our seams are reinforced, so we guarantee that our seams will be free from manufacturing defects for a period of one year under normal residential care and use. Upholstery is made from naturally varying raw materials. Differences in the texture, color, or appearance of textiles and leather are not within the control of manufacturing defects nor are they considered under this Limited Warranty. Natural color changes, exposure to extreme temperature changes, and direct sunlight can cause color changes and/or surface damage and are not covered by this Limited Warranty.

DECORATIVE ACCESSORIES

Our SARAVIA SELECTION line includes all of our decorative accessories, which are thoroughly inspected before being delivered or shipped. However, in the unlikely event that your product arrives damaged due to a defect, we ask that you retain the original packaging so that the product can be returned if necessary.

METAL CARPENTRY

Mechanisms are great when they work… but they’re a nightmare when they don’t. We at Monica Saravia – Projects and Interior Design – want to help prevent these nightmares. We guarantee that our metalwork features ultra-smooth sliding systems that combine beauty, versatility, and high quality to be free from defects for one (1) year from the date of purchase.

Products in which any of the defects described in these warranties occur will be repaired or replaced at Monica Saravia – Proyectos e Interiorismo – option. Monica Saravia does not authorize any person to create on its behalf any other obligation or liability in connection with this product. NOTE: Invoice must be attached to any claim. In case of damage during transportation, please contact us immediately upon receipt. Failure to provide immediate notification may jeopardize your ability to be repaired. This limited warranty applies under conditions of normal residential use only and does not apply to defects or damage resulting from (a) negligence, abuse, or misuse; (b) inadequate or improper maintenance, cleaning, or care; (c) exposure to chemicals and/or liquids; (d) accidents; (e) damage that occurs while moving to another residence; (F) any use for which the product was not designed. This warranty only applies when purchased from Monica Saravia – Proyectos e Interiorismo. This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED.
