Colombian designs took center stage at Mobile.Milano Week.

Colombians had a strong presence at this international design exhibition, highlighting the country's talent.

During the 2021 edition of the most important furniture trade show in the sector, Salone del Mobile.Milano, the centerpiece of the exhibition was the transversality of design and the environmental commitment of the projects of more than 400 designers, highlighting the work of Italian firms that continue to dominate the industry. However, Colombia is not far behind.

The Mónica Saravia project and interior design firm, founded in Santa Marta, also took center stage thanks to its innovative designs adapted to the constantly evolving market and the individual needs of each client.

“The capital of design, Milan, welcomed me during this exhibition, which was presented as a taste of what's to come in future editions. Furniture. Without a doubt, this space gives me a breath of fresh air and recharges me to continue designing and manufacturing with only the best materials, techniques, and artisans to guarantee unsurpassed final finishes that are on par with the best in the world, ” said Monica Saravia, a specialized interior designer.

The Samarian was the only Colombian invited to this exhibition, which brought together the world's leading architects and interior designers to showcase and learn about the latest in interior design.

This new edition of Salone di MobileMilano took place after a long silence of more than two years: the last edition took place in April 2019, as the 2020 in-person edition was first postponed and then canceled due to the Covid-19 health emergency.

Its new format, which revived this space, and, according to its organizers, improves on the old format, is a significant addition to this exhibition in the furniture sector.

Salone del Mobile.Milano: the world's leading event for the furniture and design sector. It's the premier interior design trade show, spanning 210,000 square meters, with entire buildings filled with the industry's latest trends.
