According to the 2021 trend, the rugs that stand out are those in bohemian, natural, and industrial styles.

Don't be fooled, rugs are essential when it comes to decorating a space. For years, this element, which some consider inconsequential, has had the power to transform a space and enhance the decor, transforming a corner from "ordinary" to more sophisticated.

Interior designer Mónica Saravia shares that rugs have evolved without losing their classic appeal. "Bohemian-style rugs, natural rugs, and industrial rugs are trending, adding warmth and elegance to homes with their shapes, patterns, and designs."

Saravia points out that for homes in the Colombian Caribbean, there are rugs for all tastes and budgets. "For natural and organic settings, there are jute rugs. For industrial settings, there are neutral ones or ones with abstract prints, and for more glamorous ones, there are silk rugs."

Highlighting the trend, a variety of colors, patterns, and textures, such as natural fibers and viscose silks, are all ideal for creating personalized spaces.

As a tip, Saravia specifies that rugs should always complement and harmonize spaces, providing warmth, sophistication, and sobriety. Ultimately, they can be used in living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, and even hallways.
