In Colombia, Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May, so each year it's a different date. In 2022, the celebration will take place today, Sunday, May 8th.

In Colombia, this celebration began thanks to President Pedro Nel Ospina, who, during his presidential term, officially declared the celebration through Decree 748 of 1926. This decree stipulated that Mother's Day would be celebrated throughout the country every year on the second Sunday of May.
