Spicy Edamame
Share
You'll love this recipe; it's super easy to prepare and delicious as a snack or as a side dish. Edamame are soybeans in pods, served in their shells. Eating them is so much fun; you just use your front teeth to extract them. The shell isn't actually eaten; it's placed in a container for this purpose. The first time I tried them was in their classic version with sea salt as an appetizer at a sushi restaurant; they're addictive! Today, I'm sharing this recipe with hot sauce for an explosion of flavor:
Ingredients for 4:
A bag of edamame
Salt
Chopped garlic
Sesame oil
Grated ginger
Soy sauce
Honey
Syracha
Red pepper flakes
Preparation:
1. In a pot, boil water and add salt to taste. Add the edamame and cook for 3 minutes. Drain them and they're ready for the sauce.
2. Separately, in a pan over medium heat, mix sesame oil, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, honey, siracha, and red pepper flakes.
3. Next, add the edamame, stir, serve, and sprinkle with sea salt. Ready, finger-licking good!
